Japan Medical Service Accreditation
for International Patients (JMIP)
JMIP

We have been accredited by the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP).
Kaikoukai Healthcare Corporation Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital has been accredited by the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP). We are the first private medical institution in the Chubu region to be certified by the JMIP. We have actively received non-Japanese patients for a long time. With this accreditation, we will be able to continue providing the safer and more advanced medical services of Kaikoukai Healthcare Group and Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital to non-Japanese residents in Japan and visitors from other countries.

What is “the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP)?”

Towards better medical services for non-Japanese patients
Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital has been improving our system to provide better medical services by preparing in-house displays and signposts in foreign languages and assigning dedicated Chinese and English interpreters for non-Japanese patients. We have prepared staff manuals particularly for appropriate interpretation, and we provide interpretation services in collaboration with the Aichi Medical Interpretation System.

Advantage of the Kaikoukai Network
Based on the concept of comprehensive medical services, Kaikoukai Healthcare Group has established a system to provide seamless medical and convalescent services including rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and dialysis care in addition to acute phase care. At the time of JMIP accreditation, we were highly evaluated for the establishment of “KAIKOUKAI CLINIC SENAYAN” in Indonesia and overseas cooperation for cancer radiation therapy. Kaikoukai Healthcare Group and Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital will continue to actively work on inbound business including medical tourism.

Kaikoukai Healthcare Corporation Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital received a certificate of accreditation for its hospital functions (Hospital Function Evaluation) from the Japan Council for Quality Health Care (JCQHC).

Hospital Function Evaluation is the framework with which evaluators evaluate from a neutral and unbiased standpoint whether hospitals appropriately implement basic activities (functions) to provide medical services in an organized manner.
Based on this, we aim to improve the quality of medicine.
Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital was certified in Hospital Accreditation Standards (Version 6) by the JCQHC, and its certificate was renewed on July 5, 2013.
We will continuously aim to serve as a high quality hospital.

Smoking has adverse effects on the health of smokers and surrounding people. In recent years, as public awareness of smoking-induced health damage has been steadily changing, we implemented a total ban on smoking throughout the entire premises of the hospital to prevent passive exposure to tobacco smoke and to further spread the awareness of smoking-induced health damage to society.

As hospitals are facilities that many people visit for examination, treatment, consultation, or hospitalization, we implemented a total ban on smoking throughout the entire area of the establishment, including parking, passages, etc. from the standpoint of accomplishing our mission, to create a “safer and more comfortable environment” and protect the health of people.
We also ask you to observe manners in surrounding areas of the hospital and for your understanding and cooperation in the ban on smoking.
Smoking in toilets or out-of-sight places is very dangerous. Please do not smoke in these places.
Hospital staff also started participating in the total ban on smoking throughout the premises on January 1, 2016.

What is “the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP)?”

The Japan Medical Services Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP) was established by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare as a part of a national project that promotes the smooth acceptance of international patients into Japanese medical settings. The Japan Medical Education Foundation evaluates medical institutions' capability of accepting international patients from neutral and impartial standpoints to ensure that non-Japanese residents in Japan and visitors from other countries can receive Japanese medical services safely and reliably.
